BELGIUM EXCURSION
After North Sea we continue with a seven-day excursion to Belgium to discover the wonders of the Benelux! WBGO Radio Host Michael Bourne invites you to join him on a personal tour from July 16 - 23rd, 2007 departing from Rotterdam headed to Brussels, Antwerp, Bruge, and Ghent! Guest traveling on the Belgium trip only will depart from the States on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 and fly to Amsterdam where you will be greeted at the airport for the ride to Antwerp. Stopping along the way to visit sights of interest enroute to Antwerp.

Antwerp is our home base as we set out on daily sightseeing excursions to discover beautiful Belgium! Our itinerary includes a leisurely canal cruise in Bruges to experience the lovely waterways and bridges that makes a spectacular scenic vista in the town often called the 'Venice of the North.' With plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the canal cafés or wander around the 13th Century Marketplace. Our relaxing journey by private deluxe motor coach takes us to Ghent, possibly the most beautiful city in Belgium, known as The 'diamond of Flanders" because of its inspiring medieval castles and cathedrals. Next its on to Brussels. Let's just say Brussels is fondly called the City of Beer. Our tour begins at a Beer Museum to learn the subtlety of the finest beers in the world and includes a visit to one of the celebrated Grand Cafés. Included in our scenic city tour is a visit to the Art Nouveau Museum Waucquez Warehouses and Center of Comic Strip Art. Completing our visit to the capital city with a five course dinning experience at one of Brussels famed Michelin Restaurants. Antwerp city center is our home base for our amazing Belgium exploration, providing plenty of leisure time to unwind and take in its many fine museums, art galleries, the Antwerp Zoo (built in 1843), and the famous Central Station with its nickname the Railway Cathedral. Belgium will truly offer a tasters delight as we not only discover why they are famous for exquisite beer, but don't forget the chocolate and Belgium waffles. They say a visit to Belgium is not complete without trying the mussels and frites! All of this and more on our WBGO trip to the Benelux!
